New Home, New Adventures, New Memories

Last month, we moved into our new home with excitement. We waited six months for our house to be built. We had some difficulties, like having to put all our things in PODS. Fun fact: when reserving a PODS, make sure they deliver to your new address more than once a week. Also, find out where they store their PODS.

We finally got our PODS and rented a truck to get the few things we brought to my mom's, where we have been staying. I wanted to shout out all of our family members who helped us move and supported us during these long months. Special thanks to my mom for letting us stay with her for six months. We had a wonderful time, and we will cherish the time we spent at the kitchen table sharing meals and stories. To our Princesses and their Princes, we could not have made this move without all of your help.

Our adventure now is going to see how well Mr. B and I handle being empty nesters. Boy, cooking for two is harder than I thought. Since we downsized, it has been a challenge to find places for all our stuff. Mr. B. ordered some new bookcases for all my books. I can't wait until I have my office unpacked and set up. Right now I am writing at the kitchen table. Sitting here brings back so many memories of writing with my headphones on while our princesses ran and played around the house. The two of us are using the table, even though it's set for six.

Our Christmas tree is up, but not decorated yet. Mr. B. has been building bookcases and other pieces of furniture. Plus, the movers unloaded our PODS in the dark. We are still looking for our Christmas stuff. I can't wait to share pictures of our new digs as we finish each room. For now, I will share our house with you on the day of our closing.

We cannot wait to make new memories with our growing family in this home. Princess and Princess#3 were in for Thanksgiving and are so excited to spend Christmas with our other Princesses. We are all bouncing with joy at the prospect of spending Christmas with our little toddler granddaughter.
