Hello, my lovely readers-
Today, I would like to welcome Award Winning Author, Laura Hawks, as she shares her book Serena.
Who believes in mermaids? Serena Dillon never gave it a thought, nor believed in them until she became one. She didn’t know what happened or why, only that she awoke with a tail and fins. She thought spending time with her husband, Jim, on a private yacht would be perfect to rekindle their intimacy. Little did she realize she didn’t know Jim’s true character. Jim had sinister urges for years, desires he hoped Serena could dampen but were seething just under the surface. Taking his wife on a private getaway, he planned to indulge all of his ominous passions. Dylan noticed Serena. However, she was with a man who has many dark and deadly secrets. When he saw an opportunity to rescue her, he took it. He was going to change her entire world but in doing so, he had to explain she could never return to the life or man she knew before. He has to prove Jim is harsh and cruel or lost Serena forever. Serena must learn to accept her new role in the world. Will she be able to let go of her human life? Will Dylan be able to save her a second time or is she just another victim of the ocean’s depths?
About Laura Hawks
Ms. Hawks has always been interested in writing in some form or other, including writing for a local newspaper. Deciding to become more knowledgeable, she headed back to school and received her Master's Degree in Ancient Civilizations, Native American History and United States History.
It was at this time she got involved in role playing on FaceBook, which gave her ample opportunities to grow and hone her writing ability.
She lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her four companions, all males... cats. She travels as much as she can to various Author/Reader conventions and loves to meet established fans and make new ones, some of which she considers friends more than fans.
